Land Purchase Process Begins To Clear Hurdles For Old Gurugram Metro Project

Construction of the Old Gurugram Metro gathered pace on Tuesday, with the district administration initiating steps to resolve land-related issues that have slowed progress on the project.
A high-level review meeting chaired by District Magistrate Ajay Kumar was held at the Mini Secretariat, where officials from Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) shared updated details on private land parcels falling along the proposed metro alignment.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, PWD (B&R), the Town and Country Planning Department, and GMRL.
Officials said the discussions marked the beginning of the land purchase process, which is expected to address key bottlenecks affecting construction timelines.
